Client Management Advisory Notice

From Client Management
Subject GUS UPDATE Thursday, June 14, 2001
Effective Date 06/14/01
Notice Number CM#0147

In the process of promoting a program fix last night, to ensure that executed reversals would be passed to the Trade Register, previous reversals that should have appeared on the Trade Register dated June 12, 2001, showed up on the Trade Register dated June 13, 2001, along with the Type 8 transfers that were completed on June 13, 2001, to correct the original problem. WE ARE ASKING FIRMS THAT WERE AFFECTED BY THIS DUPLICATION TO SUBMIT TYPE "8" TRANSFERS TO BACK OUT OF THE ASOF REVERSALS.

Because of this and other problems that have caused major book-to-clearing balancing issues, we are waving any transfer fees associated with these transactions. Please contact the Clearing House at 930-3190 to request the fee waiver.

Please note that Reversals will be passed to the Trade Register starting tonight, so there is no need for executing firms to use Type-8 transfers. Firms should now use the new REVERSAL feature to reverse GUS trades.

Finally, firms have brought to our attention that there are numerous TMS records on their Out-trade Reports, with the Trade ID range of 30000. Please be aware that these records will drop off after todays clearing cycle. Thank you again for your patience.
